acne-nodular

Acne nodules are hard, pus-filled lesions that occur under the skin. Also referred to as cystic acne, acne nodules do not respond to common acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Moreover, due to the fact that acne nodules occur deep inside the dermis they must be treated by a skincare professional in order to minimize scarring and prevent deeper infection.

Professional Ways To Treat Acne Nodules

1 - Visit a dermatologist. In order to get the best treatment for your acne, a dermatologist must examine your skin and determine what medications and treatments will work best for you.

2 - Try Accutane. This is a powerful oral acne medication that works from within to rid your body of acne nodules. It must be prescribed by a dermatologist as it has serious side effects.

3 - Get a glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) peel. This is a chemical peel that must be done at a dermatologist’s office. It causes acne-ridden skin to blister and peel off, revealing healthy skin.

4 - Try a cortisone injection. This is an on-the-spot injection administered by a dermatologist that goes directly into the nodule to destroy bacteria and quickly heal the lesion. This is the ideal treatment if you only have one or two acne nodule.

5 - Have the nodules drained by a dermatologist. This treatment is a type of minor surgical procedure in which the nodule is cut open and the pus and bacteria are drained. The lesion then heals within a few days.

do-dont

1 - Make sure to discuss all treatment options with a dermatologist before determining which one is right for you. Moisturize your skin daily with an oil-free moisturizer to prevent excessive drying of the skin.

2 - Stay out of the sun and always wear sunblock to avoid burning your sensitive skin after treatment.

Acne nodules are not easy to eliminate from our skin in less time. It takes some time and great care with professional skills of your doctor.

But the main point is that why we allow these skin diseases to harm ourselves. We should know those procedures and steps that can minimize the risk of having acne and pimples. I always recommended my readers to read a best written ebook on the subject of acne  names as Acne No More by professional alternate medicine researcher Mike Walden. You can read this book from his website.
